One of the most eagerly awaited movies of recent years, Eyes Wide Shut, the swan-song for the late, great Stanley Kubrick (right) finally opens here next Friday. Shot in strictest secrecy over a 15month period and completed just days before Kubrick died in March, the film is based on Arthur Schnitzler's 1926 novella, Dream Story, which is transposed to a present-day New York setting to explore the sexual relationship of a married couple (played by married couple Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman) as she reveals her desires and he finds himself faced with a range of sexual opportunities over the course of one eventful night.
