Financial services group Citco is to create 150 positions over the coming three-years.
Later today, the company will confirm plans to expand its hedge-fund administration operations at its Cork city offices.
The new jobs will bring to 1,150 the number of people employed in the country by Citco at four sites. The development is being supported by IDA Ireland.
Conor Healy, chief executive of Cork Chamber, said: "This investment is proof of the success of the company's operation in Cork. It further confirms the attractiveness of the region as a leading global location for growing global financial services companies."
