Bach is high on the agenda at the AerFi Killaloe Music Festival, which runs from next Wednesday until Sunday 23rd. The Irish Chamber Orchestra (right) under Fionnuala Hunt are spreading the Brandenburg Concertos over two nights, in programmes with intriguing interlopers (Eric Sweeney and Edison Denisov on Wednesday, Marian Ingoldsby and Arvo Part on Thursday). Stephen Layton is the conductor on the closing night, when the ICO is joined by the National Chamber Choir for St John Passion in which the Evangelist is Rufus Muller and the Christus Stephan Loges. Also in the festival line-up are harpsichordist Malcolm Proud, trumpeter John Wallace's Wallace Collection, accordionist Dermot Dunne and pianist Hugh Tinney. Proud can also be heard, on the organ, in an all-Bach programme at St Michael's, tomorrow, and the Orchestra of St Cecilia's Bach series under Geoffrey Spratt continues at St Ann's, Dawson Street next Friday.
