Cork-based property investment company CMC Capital has bought on of Germany's biggest shopping centres in a €245 million deal.
CMC is the wealth-management arm of Crowley & McCarthy Chartered Accountants.
The group said the A10 shopping cnetre, located off the main A10 motorway ring road in the German capital, has an annual footfall of eight million shoppers.
The centre has been purchased on behalf of CMC Capital's property syndicate investors in a joint venture deal with a UK private investment firm.
The A10 Centre has 116 retail units and is about 116,500 square metres in area, making it the second largest retail mall in Germany. It is on a site of around 80 acres, with 4,000 free car parking spaces.
Tenants include Lidl supermarket, Real hypermarket, Bauhaus, Mediamax and Vodafone. Fashion retailers include C&A, H&M, Esprit, Yves Rocher, Bonita, Douglas, Ospray, Babyone and Peek & Cloppenburg.
CMC Capital has been active in the German market since 2004.
