Commission campaign: strategy

• Two million copies of the commission's explanatory handbook (below) to be distributed to voters' homes

• An extensive advertising campaign on radio, television, in newspapers, online and outdoors. More than 20 ads will run on billboards, newspapers, postcards, websites, Luas stops, train stations and buses

• To target a young audience, the commission has purchased almost 3 million views of its ads on the Bebo, Facebook and Yahoo! Mail websites. It has also created a video which will be posted on YouTube midway through the campaign
