A special Mass for emergency personnel who died in the recent attacks in the US was held in Mount Argus, Dublin at the weekend.
The service, in St Paul's Retreat, Mount Argus, was attended by Garda Commissioner Pat Byrne and two officers from the US Marines.
The Mass, on Saturday afternoon, was also attended by garda∅, firefighters, ambulance personnel and Civil Defence volunteers from across the country.
The Mass was said in solidarity with the emergency personnel who had lost their lives in the attack on the World Trade Centre. The main celebrant was Father Frank Keevins, parish priest.
