The eircom League Security Committee has yet to reach a conclusion on what action, if any, is to be taken following disturbances at the eircom League Premier Division clash between Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians in Inchicore on Monday evening.
The committee met this morning to discuss the worrying violent scenes that marred the game, during which six people were arrested by Gardai.
Both Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians are believed to be cooperating fully with the inquiry and the committee will reconvene next week to discuss the matter further.
The security committee will maintain it's practice of categorising games - with regards to safety and security - and of advising clubs of appropriate procedures to employ in the event of high risk category games.
Thirty extra gardai had to be drafted in to deal with disturbances between the two sets of fans during the match which was attended by 4,000.
Fighting continued on the streets outside the ground after the game and pubs near the ground were forced to close. There were no reports of serious injuries.
