A Wexford company yesterday secured a High Court order restraining two members of the travelling community from trespassing on its lands at an industrial estate.

The order granted to CPM Europe Ltd restrains Mr Pat and Mr Jimmy McDonagh and all persons acting in concert with them from trespassing upon or re-entering the company's lands at Whitemill, Wexford.

Mr Brendan Wallace, company plant manager, said the defendants together with other persons not known to the plaintiff had moved two caravans on to the company's lands on May 13th.

The travellers' children had been playing on and adjacent to the main roadway which passes through the industrial estate and this was extremely dangerous because of the traffic flow, he said.

Mr Wallace said last Monday he had been informed by Mr Jimmy McDonagh that his child had fallen on the premises and a civil action for damages against CPM would follow. On the same day he had to obtain the assistance of a garda to keep the children away from the main entrance.

He had been informed those individuals were injuncted from the same industrial estate two years ago and that they had just been removed from the IDA business park on the Rosslare side of Wexford having had a High Court order served on them a week ago, Mr Wallace said.
