The Department of Agriculture and Food has extended, for the second time, the closing date for the completion of works under the Control of Farm Pollution and Dairy Hygiene.
The Minister for Agriculture and Food, Mr Walsh, said he had earlier extended the closing date from October 31st last year to April 30th this year.
However, a number of farmers were still experiencing practical problems in meeting this deadline and accordingly, the new closing date will now be June 30th, 2000.
