Kigali - Congolese rebel leaders said yesterday they had agreed to sign a peace agreement aimed at ending the year-old civil war. Last week African leaders proposed that all founding members of the Congolese Rally for Democracy, including leaders of both the warring factions, be allowed to sign the Lusaka accord.
The largest rebel faction accepted after talks with the South African Foreign Minister, Mr Nkosazana Zuma, late on Monday.
