Connacht coach Steph Nel today announced his team to play Borders in the opening game of their new Celtic League campaign on Friday.
The westerners still have injury concerns regarding full-back Gavin Duffy and former Australian lock Warwick Waugh, but both are expected to be fit to play against the new Scottish outfit which kick-off at 7.30 p.m. in Selkirk.
Tim Allnutt was also announced as the province’s new captain. The 28-year-old centre has played over 30 games for Connacht during the last couple of seasons.
