Skip junk
I've been living in Germany for two years, and while originally it was quite strange to see all this junk just left outside on the street once a month, what amazed me was that at least a third of it is usually taken before the junk collectors came! Having experienced the midnight skip fillers when doing work on a house in Ireland, I think the system is just great. - Chris
Meter readings
If we are expected to read the meters and submit the readings, then why does it say that meters are read every four months? My meter hasn't been read for over four years nor has a card been left - I assume that there is no longer a meter-reading service in my area! - Joe Dempsey
The ESB are to supply "smart meters" to show us how we are using our electricity but wait for it, we will have to pay €225 for the installation . . . I really do not care how my charges are broken down and I totally resent this imposition. - Maura
Family flyers
I agree that when things go right for Ryanair it is great. However, I feel O'Leary should review his policy of not allowing families with children to board first. - Noeleen Burke
Organic opposition
With the world facing probable food shortages as a result of reduced tillable land due to climate warming - China and Brazil will have greatly reduced ability to grow food crops - the last thing we need in the future is organic food produced for the rich and supersensitive! - Paul
