The National Consumer Agency (NCA) received a number of complaints from Liverpool fans who had travelled to Athens to see their team in action in the Champions League final in May - and they weren't just giving out about the result.

The fans were disappointed with the accommodation provided and the absence of tickets to the match.

While a number of travel agencies were involved, an accommodation has been reached with Tony Bernie of Bernie Travel, which will see disappointed fans given either a package to a Liverpool Champions League match next season or a holiday in Portugal.

Ann Fitzgerald, director of the NCA, acknowledged the generosity of Bernie Travel which, while never guaranteeing tickets to the match in question, had made every effort to accommodate its customers, but was let down by the ticket agents in Athens.

Not gotta lotta bottle

Coca-Cola is launching a new lightweight bottle aimed at reducing the amount of waste plastic for which it is responsible.

The company's new 24g bottles will be used for Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta, Sprite and Lilt.

The new plastic bottles each weigh 2g less than the previous models.

While 2g might not sound a lot, Coke will produce more than 350 million of them annually, now saving around 700 tonnes of plastic a year.
