Blog on here: You'd be surprised how many of them out there would like to have these thingys to watch crappy YouTube movies on their 2.5-inch displays.
I'm talking about all these teenagers and geeks crazy about everything with an Apple logo on it. It's a religion and what Steve [Jobs] says is the ultimate truth. - Mike
Interesting was what was not announced. No news on the iPhone launch in Europe, which was supposed to happen this month and would have been the perfect news Jobs likes to announce. That, combined with a $200 price-cut in the 8GB iPhone and no news on the 4GB version - which is assumed to be now discontinued - and you have to say maybe everything isn't going to plan with the iPhone. - Colm
My girlfriend has a Creative Zen Vision:M which has a similar screen. She frequently records her favourite TV programs and watches them at work on her lunch break. It's not that a 2.5-inch screen is desirable, it's that it's portable. - Gavin
Tesco differential
I noticed a big difference in prices from Tesco's Cookstown, Northern Ireland, and Tesco's midlands, Rep of Ireland. There was 25-35 per cent saving on cakes (own-brand and well-known brands) and minerals, even when converting sterling to euro. I wasn't on shopping trip, just when we called on friends, I noticed a big difference in prices on these items. So why is Tesco cheaper in Northern Ireland? Competition! - Noel
