Thursday’s strike action leads to Ryanair and Aer Lingus cancellations

Aer Lingus and Ryanair have cancelled a number of flights today due to industrial action by French air traffic controllers.

Five Air Lingus flights departing from Dublin, and five inward flights, have been cancelled. The cancelled flights are between Dublin, Lyon, Perpignan, Marseilles, Barcelona and Alicante.

Ryanair has cancelled more than 70 flights to and from France on Thursday.

Ryanair customers can rebook their flights or apply for a refund on the Ryanair website. They will be updated on their flight status via email and/or mobile phone using the number provided at the time of booking. Customers can also monitor their flight's status on the Ryanair website.

Aer Lingus said passengers who have bookings on the cancelled flights can change for free to another date of travel, or request a full refund.

Passengers flying with either airline, who have bookings to travel on Thursday, are asked to check the status of their flight before departing for the airport.
