The number of patients in the hospital rose from 486 on Monday to 507 yesterday. Six patients underwent surgery in the single operating theatre in use. All intensive care units operated at full capacity. Twenty-three patients were admitted in the 24 hours to 8 a.m. yesterday, bringing the number to 386, up from 375 on Monday. Cork University Hospital

The hospital had 300 in-patients yesterday, seven more than on the previous day. Limerick Regional Hospital

The number of patients at the hospital rose from 171 on Monday to 179 yesterday. One theatre was operating. "No significant changes have been reported in the overall situation," a spokeswoman said.

Waterford Regional Hospital

Letterkenny General Hospital

The hospital had 151 in-patients yesterday, compared with 189 eight days ago when the dispute began. There were 59 beds closed. The North Western Health Board expressed its deep concern over the disruption to services.
