A young boy died when he hanged himself accidently on a swing attached to a tree, according to gardai in Rathcormac, Co Cork. Gerard Kenny (12), from Ashfield Place, Rathcormac, was alone when the incident occurred at Bartlemy on Friday evening. He was discovered later by another boy.
