A dispute involving 150 non nursing staff at St Finbarr's Hospital in Cork was resolved yesterday following the intervention of the Labour Relations Commission.
The dispute over staffing levels at the hospital began earlier in the week, but did not affect services, according to the Southern Health Board (SHB).
As part of the settlement, the SHB is to draw up a list of casual employees who will replace full time staff when they are absent. Management will also have discussions with SIPTU in an effort to restore good working relations at the hospital.
