The Clare county manager, Mr Willie Moloney, has given his council staff the all-clear in his investigation of doublejobbing in the local authority. Following a request by the Minister for the Environment, Mr Dempsey, to submit a report on any evidence of double-jobbing at local authorities to his Department, Mr Moloney has informed him that following his investigation, no breach of regulations was occurring in Clare.
A council spokesman said Mr Moloney had informed the Minister that he had reminded staff, as he had regularly in the past, of their obligations under the regulations.
The spokesman said the county manager had been assured by staff that they were aware of the regulations and were complying with them.
