The country's local councillors yesterday staged part of their annual conference at sea. It was the second day of the Local Authority Members Association 3-day summit which attracted 500 delegates.
The participants, including councillors from Northern Ireland and Britain, travelled to Fishguard for a civic reception hosted by Pembrokeshire District Council.
Senator Jim Walsh, the national chairman of LAMA, described the decision to hold part of the conference at sea as "an innovative first for the biggest ever gathering of local councillors".
