Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Demi Moore and her husband Bruce Willis were granted a drinks licence yesterday for their £3.5 million Planet Hollywood restaurant overlooking St Stephen's Green in Dublin.
Mr Tom Morgan, barrister, told Judge Dominic Lynch in the Circuit Licensing Court that the restaurant in the Stephen's Green Centre had been completed in accordance with planning permission and was up and running.
The restaurant, which would employ 149 Irish staff, had been developed by Rivermist Ltd, a subsidiary of Planet Hollywood International Inc, which was owned by Hollywood stars Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Willis and Moore.
Mr Morgan told the court there would be no public bar counter on the premises and drink would be dispensed by waiters and waitresses. Solicitor Ms Sinead Smyth said the applicants had taken a 25-year lease from the Stephen's Green Centre owners, Firmount Ltd. State solicitor Mr Matthew Shaw, told the court there was no Garda objection.
Afterwards, Ms Paula O'Connell, spokeswoman for the restaurant, said the stars would be in Dublin on December 7th for a grand opening.
