The Apprentice Boys lost a court action yesterday challenging a ban on today's march in the predominantly nationalist village of Dunloy, Co Antrim. Mr Justice Coghlin dismissed an application in the High Court in Belfast for a judicial review of the ban, imposed by the Parades Commission. The case was brought by Mr Thomas Finlay, an Apprentice Boy, from Cullybackey, Co Antrim. He said in an affidavit that members of the loyal orders had to go "cap in hand" to republican residents in order to march.
Mr Justice Coghlin, dismissing the application, said no element of bias had been established on the part of the commission or that it had prejudged its decision.
