A woman appeared in court yesterday charged with assault causing harm to a man whose body was found in a flat in Ballymun last Tuesday.
Ms Tanya Lamb (25), Mountainview Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin, was charged with assaulting Mr Anthony Jordan (54) at Balbutcher Lane.
Sgt Matt Murphy told Dublin District Court that after she was charged yesterday she replied: "I told the truth about what happened." There was no application from her solicitor for bail and she was remanded in custody to May 23rd.

Murder charge man in hospital
The 50-year old Co Clare man charged with the murder of his uncle, Mr Jack Daly (82), remains at the Central Mental Hospital in Dublin, a District Court was told yesterday.
Last month, Mr John McInerney (52), of Bellharbour, was charged with the murder of Mr Daly at his home on April 30th.
At that sitting, the court was told that Mr McInerney has been under psychiatric treatment and was released from Our Lady's psychiatric hospital in Ennis two weeks ago before the alleged murder of Mr Daly.
Yesterday at Ennis District Court, Mr McInerney was remanded in custody to appear before Ennis District Court next Friday.

Murderer's appeal is turned down
A man jailed for life for the murder of a woman in a Limerick nightclub has lost his appeal against his conviction.
Mark Cronin (35), Crecora Avenue, Prospect, Limerick, was convicted in the Central Criminal Court on April 4th, 2000 of the murder of Ms Georgina O'Donnell (20), St Brigid's Avenue, St Mary's Park, Limerick, at Henry Cecil Night Club, Limerick, on May 2nd, 1998.
The three-judge Court of Criminal Appeal yesterday turned down Cronin's appeal against both his conviction for murder and for possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He had been sentenced to a concurrent 10-year term of imprisonment on the firearms count.

Assault case man must pay €10,000
A milk roundsman who assaulted a couple has to pay them €10,000 or else serve three years' imprisonment.
Damian Kavanagh (35), of Cois Chualainn, Loughlinstown, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assault causing harm to the couple on December 17th, 2001.
Garda John Burke told prosecuting counsel Ms Martina Baxter that the victims had been drinking in their local pub when an intoxicated Kavanagh came in. He knew the woman previously and words were exchanged between them.
Garda Burke said the woman and her male partner left to avoid any trouble but Kavanagh followed them in a jeep.
Kavanagh beat both victims with some kind of bar and broke the woman's arm. Her friend suffered a deep wound across the top of his head. Both had made a good recovery.

Man cleared of rape charges
A 46-year-old Co Sligo man has been cleared by a jury in the Central Criminal Court on charges of raping and sexually assaulting his stepdaughter when she was eight years old.
The jury took just over six hours to return not guilty verdicts.
