The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Brian Cowen has strongly condemned today’s bomb attack in Jerusalem.
In a statement, Mr Cowen extended his sympathies to the families of those who were killed or injured.
He said "commitments given by both Israel and the Palestinian Authority to implement the recommendations of the Mitchell Commission must be observed."
Mr Cowen also stressed "the urgent need for a third party monitoring mechanism, which would serve the interests of both parties."
