Since his appointment as Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Brian Cowen has travelled thousands of miles around the world in the cause of Irish diplomacy.
Yesterday, he went to the wrong airport for a flight to Kerry, reports Mark Hennessy, Political Reporter, in Killarney.
The rest of the Cabinet travelled to Dublin Airport early yesterday for the short journey on board the Government's Gulfstream IV jet to Farranfore Airport, which lies between Tralee and Killarney.
However, Mr Cowen, through a mix-up in arrangements that was no fault of his own, went to Baldonnel for the flight. The mistake caused him to miss the special Cabinet meeting in Killarney.
