The Taoiseach Brian Cowen will today hold talks with Welsh First Minister Rhodri Morgan in Cardiff.
They will discuss Irish-Welsh relations and matters relating to the British Irish Council.
The Taoiseach has also sent a message of good luck to Munster RFC coach Declan Kidney and his team ahead of today's Heineken Cup Final against French side Toulouse.
The Taoiseach will attend the fixture on behalf of the Irish Government.
