The construction materials group, CRH has announced spending of €394m on acquisitions and other developments in the first six months of the year.
The doesn’t include the EHL and US Aggregates deals worth close to €300 million announced in May.
The moves announced this morning include the construction of a €2.4m concrete wall panel plant at its Dublin plant and acquisitions in Poland, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
In the United States, CRH's materials division spent €240m on 10 acquisitions and investments.

CRH purchased the Europe products and distribution division of EHL for €155.4 million at the beginning of May and it paid a net €81.3 million in cash for the Utah and Alabama operations of US Aggregates, later the same month.
