Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after an 87-year-old wheelchair user died following a hit-and-run incident in north Dublin last month.

The man was killed after he was hit by a truck at Hanlon's Corner on Tuesday, September 30th.

He was knocked out of his electric wheelchair by a white truck - believed to be a Mercedes - at Hanlon’s Corner on the North Circular Road at about 4.13pm. The truck driver fled the scene.

The injured man was taken to the Mater Hospital where he died on Friday, October 3rd.

Gardaí investigating the incident are appealing for the driver to come forward and are calling on any witnesses or any other person with information to contact them at Bridewell Garda station on 01 666 8200.
