Lecture in legal bibliography
The 24th Hugh M Fitzpatrick lecture in legal bibliography will take place at 6pm on Tuesday, March 28th, in the Benchers Room in the King's Inns, Dublin.
The lecture, entitled The Judicial Thought and Prose of Mr Justice Henchy, will be given by Mr Justice Gerard Hogan and chaired by Mr Justice Donal O'Donnell.
It will be followed by a wine reception.
ISEL 'horizontal co-operation' forum
The next ISEL competition law forum on The European Commission's New Rules for Horizontal Co-operation will take place on Wednesday next at 6.30pm at the offices of AL Goodbody at the IFSC, North Wall Quay, Dublin.
The forum has also just launched a new competition law essay contest, which will be run annually and is open to current undergraduate and postgraduate students, trainee solicitors and devil barristers.
The prize is €500 and publication in the Irish Journal of European Law. The adjudicating panel will be chaired by Mr Justice John D Cooke.

Tort litigation conference at TCD
A conference on tort litigation will take place in the school of law, Trinity College Dublin, on March 26th.
The conference will be chaired by Mr Justice Bryan McMahon.
Speakers include John Healy, Neville Cox, Des Ryan, Dr Ciarán Craven and Prof William Binchy.

NUIG to host accountability conference
Ombudsman Emily O'Reilly will be the keynote speaker at a conference in NUI Galway on March 26th. The conference, Executive Accountability and Parliamentary Democracy, will be hosted by the school of law in association with Mason Hayes & Curran solicitors. Other speakers include Donncha O'Connell of NUIG, Catherine Allen of Mason Hayes & Curran and Elaine Byrne of Trinity College Dublin.
