A large quantity of Apple products including iPads were stolen in a break-in at a warehouse in Little Island, Cork, between Sunday night and early on Monday morning.
Thieves forced their way into the warehouse and made off with upwards of €50,000 worth of electronic equipment.
Gardaí are examining CCTV footage from the warehouse to try to identify the thieves, who they believe would have used a van or small truck.
Garda technical experts carried out a forensic examination at the scene of the crime.
Gardaí are investigating whether the theft may be linked to a break-in at the Harvey Norman store at the Kinsale Road in Cork last April, when €100,000 of TVs and laptops were stolen.
They are also investigating whether the incident may be linked to a break-in in October 2012 when €60,000 worth of goods was taken from a Harvey Norman store in Little Island.
