An elderly woman has been killed in a six-car crash on the M1 motorway in Northern Ireland.

It is understood a lorry hit the central reservation at around 5.30pm, causing major traffic delays.

The incident occurred between junctions nine and 10 on the westbound lane between Moira in Co Down and Lurgan in Co Armagh.
