A 33-year-old sales executive today settled a €38,000 personal injury claim against an award-winning hairdressing company for undisclosed damages.

Grainne Moynihan, of Castleknock Park, Dublin 15, had sued Coiffeur Salons Ltd, trading as Dylan Bradshaw, which has its registered office at William Street South, Dublin 2.

Ms Moynihan alleged that after having had her hair cut and coloured in Dylan Bradshaw on November 11th, 2010, she developed an allergic reaction which had caused an itchy and irritable rash on her ears, neck and scalp.

Coiffeur Salons Ltd had entered a full defence in which it denied liability.

Ms Moynihan claimed she had to have medical attention and had been prescribed oral steroids and antihistamine medication.

Judge Matthew Deery was told that the case had been settled and directed that a tendered amount of money could be paid out of court to Ms Moynihan in part satisfaction of her claim.
