ROBBIE WILLIAMS has described Take That’s concert on Sunday night at Croke Park as “life-defining”. Williams looked like he was crying during the solo part of his set and confirmed in a blog on his website that the reaction of the crowd had transformed him from “preening peacock prima donna showman to a ball of mush within seconds”.

The singer praised the “overwhelming goodwill, love, smiles, happiness, approval and acceptance” from the crowd and admitted it left him “proper floored”.

Williams said he gave everything at Saturday night’s concert and he approached Sunday night’s show with “trepidation”.

He had his solo slot five songs into the set which started with Let Me Entertain Youand finished with a singalong version of Angels.

He continued: “I wasn’t expecting what came next. I proper lost my s*** . . . it was so powerful that I didn’t know if I was going to be able to collect myself. There’s a tear in my eye thinking about it now.”
