Miami - A Cuban baseball star, Orlando Hernandez, was granted permission to enter the US for humanitarian reasons, but he seemed prepared yesterday to turn down the offer, for now, for financial ones. Hernandez (32), an accomplished baseball pitcher and the half-brother of Florida Marlins star Livan Hernandez, his common-law wife, Noris, and Alberto Hernandez, a former catcher for the Cuban national baseball team, were released from the custody of immigration authorities in the Bahamas yesterday.
