Washington - The suspected killer Andrew Cunanan was not infected with the AIDS virus when he killed himself last month, according to the Miami Herald newspaper. It said three law enforcement sources told the paper that tests on Cunanan's body showed he was not HIV positive.
The paper said the information nullified the theory that Cunanan had launched a murder spree, including the killing of the fashion designer Gianni Versace, upon learning that he had the AIDS virus. - (Reuter)
