Denmark: Support for the proposed European Union constitution is falling in Denmark and opposition to Turkish EU membership has risen dramatically, according to a new opinion poll there.
It shows that 30 per cent of Danes are planning to vote Yes in a referendum on September 27th, while 22 per cent will vote No.
The survey of 1,009 people by Ramboll Management showed that 48 per cent of Danes, who twice rejected key EU issues in the past, are still undecided.
The poll also showed growing resistance to Turkish membership of the European Union. Sixty- three per cent are now against Turkey becoming a member, up from 49 per cent in a September survey.- (Reuters)
