Cassettes; the mug filling with butts;

A chewed biro in the middle

Of a crossword puzzle. No note:

As if nothing needed saying.

But where he used to practise darts,

Off-the-target throws pricked the door:

Swarming - so an old man put it -

Like midges around the board.
