Datalex confident of returning to profit

Dublin-based travel software firm Datalex reported a 176 per cent rise in fourth-quarter revenues to $10.8 million.

Dublin-based travel software firm Datalex reported a 176 per cent rise in fourth-quarter revenues to $10.8 million.

The Nasdaq- and Dublin-quoted company also reported a $5.4 million loss in the fourth quarter which it said was down to investment in sales/marketing and research and development.

Commenting on the outlook for 2001 Datalex chief executive Mr Neil Wilson said demand for the company's products remained confident of returning Datalex to profitability by year-end.

Total revenues for 2000 were $33.3 million, up 155 per cent in 1999
