Former Republic of Ireland striker David Kelly has held transfer talks with Motherwell.
The 34-year-old scored eight times for Sheffield United last season but has not been offered a new playing deal.
Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has, however, offered him a coaching role at Bramall Lane.
Kelly has met Motherwell manager Billy Davies and director of football Pat Nevin.

He said: "I have been offered the reserve team manager's job at Sheffield United but I really want to keep playing.
"I'm interested in what Billy is offering. I feel I have something to offer a top-class side and the opportunity to play in the Scottish Premier League is appealing."
