Barcelona today confirmed they have reached agreement on a six-month loan deal for Dutch international Edgar Davids.
Barca will also have first option to sign the midfielder for an additional year at the end of the season, although the deal is subject to a medical today.
The Catalans, struggling in mid-table, made Davids their target following the opening of the winter transfer window. He will team up with former Ajax and Holland team-mate Frank Rijkaard, now in charge at the Nou Camp.
Juventus, whose contract with Davids runs out at the end of the campaign, have decided to let the 30-year-old go after failing to sign him to an extension.
