The last play written by Liam O Muirthile in Irish for Amharclann de hIde, Fear an Tae, lingers delicately in the mind for its magical take on the ordinary - the glorious moment when the tea-man arrives with his trolley to the ward of a lunatic asylum and briefly sweetens the lives of the inmates. His new play, Liodan na hAbhann, sees him again reaching for the healing power of the spiritual, as a brother and sister meet for the first anniversary of their brother's death, and embark on the journey of grief. Directed by Brid Ni Gallchoir, who has done much ground-breaking work, it also features two Spanish flamenco artists.
