The cause of death of a Polish construction worker, whose body was found in Castlebar, Co Mayo, almost three weeks ago, remains a mystery.
His identity has not yet been comprehensively established but gardaí are "90 per cent" certain of his name.
DNA tests are being carried out on a family in Poland so his identity can be confirmed. A postmortem and autopsy carried out by State Pathologist Prof Marie Cassidy proved inconclusive.
An intensive Garda investigation was mounted following the find at in Saleen, Castlebar, on June 30th. It is thought he had been dead for several weeks, but had not been reported missing. Interpol is assisting in the investigation.
