Racing: Plans for Irish 2000 Guineas third Decado are on hold after his ninth-place finish in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Kevin Prendergast's Irish raider finished 14-and-a-half-lengths behind winner Araafa last Tuesday after running the same horse to three lengths in the Curragh Classic.
But Prendergast reports the Danehill Dancer colt to have been under the weather since his return.
"He's come back a little bit listless after running at Ascot. He had a bit of a problem, he's been doing a bit of coughing so we just hope to get him over it," he explained.
"I don't think (the ground was too quick for him). He came back in no way jarred up, he just came back and he was coughing."
Although Decado is currently on the easy list, Prendergast hopes Fabrigas can play a big part in Sunday's Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks Railway Stakes at the Curragh.
The Catienus colt won a Navan maiden last time out and is set to be the stable's only runner as alternative entry Yario is likely to miss out.
"Fabrigas will run in the race and I hope he runs well but that horse of Neville Callaghan's (Excellent Art) looks a good one coming in from England," Prendergast told At The Races.
"He did it well but the race hasn't worked out as well as we'd hoped. He's had a couple of good runs on heavy ground but I think he goes on faster ground. We hope he'll run well.
"Yario will run in the maiden. He's a nice horse and hasn't done too much wrong. He wants plenty of ease though." PA
