The world's top personal computer company Dell Incorporated has reported its fifth consecutive quarter of year-on-year profit improvement as it lured customers from its rivals and sold more notebook computers.
Dell, based in Round Rock, Texas, reported net profit of $621 million, or 24 cents per share, for the fiscal second quarter, up from $501 million, or 19 cents per share, a year earlier.
Revenue rose to $9.78 billion from $8.46 billion a year earlier.
