An allegation that Sinn Fein ordered a man out of Derry last month was mentioned in the High Court in Belfast yesterday. A prosecution lawyer said the man left his home in the Northland Road area after he was accused of sexual abuse. He had been given 48 hours to leave by two men wearing dark glasses and false beards who said they were from Sinn Fein.
Mr William James Murray (22), from Rinmore Drive, Derry, who was alleged to have accompanied the two men, applied for bail on a charge of intimidation.
Mr Justice Girvan freed him on bail of £600 and ordered him to report to the police twice a week.
