A dispute between Dublin Corporation and Esat over the laying of cable wires and other works on the city's streets has been resolved, the High Court heard yesterday. On Friday the corporation secured a temporary injunction restraining Esat Telecommunications Ltd and Esat Telecom Group plc from laying cables or carrying out work on roads without the consent or licence of the corporation. Ms Justice Laffoy granted the interim injunction after the corporation alleged that Esat, without its consent, had begun works on Thursday night last in the Fitzwilliam Street area.
