An acupuncturist has been found not guilty of sexually assaulting a female patient in 1997. The jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court announced its verdict on the fourth day of the trial.
Judge Patrick McCartan released the 48-year-old accused, a naturalised Irish citizen. The qualified doctor, who has been practising acupuncture here for 20 years, had denied sexually assaulting the woman in his clinic on January 9th, 1997.
