The premiere of a new documentary examining the life and travels of Waterford travel writer and explorer Dervla Murphy (78), got the Immrama Festival of Travel Writing in Lismore under way last night.
Who is Dervla Murphy?was screened at the Courthouse Theatre in the Waterford town, opening the annual four-day festival.
Renowned explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes and fellow explorer and filmmaker Tim Severin will deliver keynote presentations at this year’s festival, which runs until Sunday.
