Ireland's Ken Doherty beat Stephen Hendry 2-0 in Group B of the Asia Snooker Masters Challenge in Hong Kong today.
The event, a curtain raiser to the new snooker season, is played over two legs with action in both Hong Kong and Bangkok.
The first leg got underway in Hong Kong today with players from both Europe and Asia competing until Sunday.
The qualifying round matches in both events are played on a round-robin basis, followed by semi-finals and final, with a £30,000 prize on offer for the winner.

World number one Mark Williams beat veteran Jimmy White 2-0 in Group A this afternoon while in the other Group B game Pakistan's Shokat Ali beat local favourite Marco Fu 2-0.
The second leg will be staged in Bangkook from August 27th-30th.
