April 2004: A husband and wife lost their lives on the Buncrana Road on the outskirts of Derry. Sheila Quigley (71) was killed instantly when the Renault Clio she was driving was in collision with a lorry close to the Derry-Donegal border. Her husband William (74), the front-seat passenger, died from his injuries.
June 2004: Farmer James Harkin was killed in an accident while driving his quad bike at Cockhill Road, outside Buncrana.
June 2004: Three Latvian men who worked in Buncrana lost their lives at Gráinne's Gap, Donegal. Janis Rogis (21), Maris Valbe (22) and Danis Sters (19) had addresses at Meenaward, Buncrana, Co Donegal. Gardaí said the car may have struck a bridge before coming to rest in a ditch.
June 2004: Henry Nelson (75) of Carndonagh was killed in a single-vehicle accident near Carndonagh.
July 2004: Three teenagers were killed when the vehicle in which they were travelling struck a bridge and plunged 3.04m (10ft) into a field near Ballymagan on the road between the Illies and Buncrana, five miles from the town.
Those who died were the driver of the silver Vauxhall Astra car, Shane Cuffe (18), Crana View, Buncrana, Owen Doherty (18), Cloncool Park, Buncrana, and Áine O'Leary (16), Selskor Rise, Townpark, Skerries, Co Dublin.
August 2004: A family holiday turned to tragedy when an 11-year-old girl was killed in a road accident near Buncrana, Co Donegal. Aishling McDaid from Gransha Road, Buncrana, was killed instantly when the BMW car in which she was a back-seat passenger hit a wall on the outskirts of Fahan village, about four miles from her home.
March 2005: Two women died in a three-car crash in Donegal. Alice Mullen (22), Millbrae, Carndonagh, Co Donegal, and Kelly Doherty (20), Carromore, Glentogher, Carndonagh, were passengers in a car involved in a collision at Bankhead, Redcastle.
August 2005: Francis Vaughan, a passenger in a taxi, was killed in a two-car accident at Fahan, near Buncrana.
October 2005: Five young people were killed when the car in which they were travelling left the road at Quigley's Point, near Muff.
October 2005: Brian Power from Cleggan, Derry, was killed when his car was involved in a single-vehicle accident near Muff.
